DANDONG CHEMICAL ENGINEERING INSTITUTE CO., LTD.

Dandong Chemical Engineering Institute (DCEI) is located in the biggest Chinese border city -- DANDONG, which is separated by Yalu River with DPR Korea. It was converted to a Limited Liability Company (corporation) in year 2001. This re-organization made it possible to increase capitalization; that led to upgraded facilities with larger capacity, larger staff, and broader research capability. At the start, DCEI focused on producing boric acid, borax and various economical derivatives of boron. Later the capability to produce high quality amorphous boron and hexagonal boron nitride were achieved. Today DCEI is the acknowledged boron production leader in Asia, with its various grades in use on every continent.

Due to its outstanding R & D staff--40% of its employees are engineers--DCEI has since branched out into production of a variety of borides--specifications and current available on request.

A basic principle of the company is to continually upgrade product quality and selection. A minimum of 20% of sales volume is assigned to research and development. A 24-hour lab is maintained on site and the company operates under ISO 9001:2008. We believe in zero error tolerance. Independent testing shows the superiority of our product over those made in other countries in other parts of the world. QUALITY CONTROL
In order to assure highest product quality, our on-site lab analyses raw materials received as well as our finished product. Standards are certified per ISO9001. Product is shipped only after tight scrutiny.
TECHNICAL PERSONNEL
DCEI's highly qualified technical staff represents 37% of the total employment roster. Every year, 20% of sales receipts are devoted to research and development.
PRODUCTION FACILITIES
There are three lines devoted to the various boron grades and another three lines devoted to the various hexagonal boron nitride grades. There is also a line for refractory boride production and some pilot equipment for experiment. Separate buildings house pilot-scale and production of BN and refractory borides. There is never any interaction of different products.
